The activities in this section of the Local Offer have not been commissioned by the Council, so no safety or quality checks have been undertaken by the Council regarding these provisions. It is the responsibility of parents and carers to ensure that any activity and location meets your requirements of suitability, safety and accessibility as the Council cannot provide assurances to that effect.

Football specific session for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities with the opportunity to represent RUCT and play in the South Yorkshire Ability Counts League.

Disability Weetabix Wildcats Centre for girls
Do you know someone who is looking for a fun way for girls aged 5-11 to get involved with football? Then look no further, Weetabix Wildcats is the place to be, everyone is super awesome; from the friends you’ll meet to The FA qualified coaches and volunteers who deliver the sessions. The sessions is non-competitive football for girls who want to give it a go for the very first time or want to play with other girls their own age and who may have a similar disability. Most importantly, Weetabix Wildcats is all about having loads of fun and meeting new amazing friends.

Elephants in Steps Club
The Elephant’s in Step club offers quality activities for young people with disabilities on a monthly basis. The sessions are fully staffed by qualified youth workers and support staff and include activities such as dance and karaoke, arts and crafts, massage therapy and themed games.

Family History Group (RANSS)
RANSS are excited to announce a new partnership with Rotherham Libraries open to all neurodiverse adults who are registered with a Rotherham GP. Our NEW Family History Group will have the use of the libraries computers with FREE access to both Ancestry, Find My Past, as well as other genealogical databases, which will allow comprehensive research of birth, baptism, marriage, marriage and death records.

Guiding Voices - every voice counts
We are a group of young people with SEND aged 10 and above who get together to share our voices weekly. We have done some events and have a calm atmosphere for people to come along and share their voices with us. Young people can attend virtually or in person.

Jump Stars
Join RPCF at Jump Incflated Rotherham for a fun Packed session of Jumping, including the Ninja Warrior section. There is a Soft Play area for under 11s. The cost is £8.50 per person. One free carer for every child or young person with SEND. Siblings and friends are welcome. You must be a full member of RPCF to book a place.

Life Skills Rotherham
We support adults with learning difficulties on Mondays and Tuesdays (funded via direct payment) to learn employability and life skills. Our employment offer “Dexx Family Activity Centre” has been operating since 2018. We are primarily a training and employment provider but also incorporate home based life skills into everyone’s personal development, promoting a work-life balance. A balance that is essential in the health and wellbeing of anyone in society regardless of ability. We run a range of enterprises within the scooter/trampoline park that provides us with the opportunity to give people with real-life work experiences in a lively business environment. We work with each person to develop a bespoke plan that incorporates work experience, training and qualifications and a pathway to employment opportunities. Play Valley – soft play
This session is exclusively for Children with Special Educational needs and their families. We ask that your child is either diagnosed with a SEND or is on the pathway to diagnosis. However, we will not ask for any kind of proof on arrival. We hope that your child will benefit from these quieter, more relaxed sessions. £5 per child per session

RANSS Wellbeing Walk
Open to all neurodiverse adults who have a Rotherham GP, we meet between the museum car park and museum building between 1pm and 1:15pm for a walk that will last no longer than an hour and we will be taking a leisurely pace. It is approximately a 1 mile walk on tarmac. You are welcome to come along with another adult to support you, including a support worker, partner, family member or friend.
Time: Every Wednesday 1-2pm

Relaxed Cinema @ Vue
Join RPCF every 4th Tuesday for a Relaxed Screening at Vue Cinema at Meadowhall. The lights are kept on throughout the movie, the sound volume is turned down and there are no adverts. RPCF SEND Family Swimming Session
A swimming session for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities and their families. There are two sessions, each is 45 minutes. The cost is £4.40 per person for use of the warm and welcoming hydrotherapy pool. All children must be accompanied in the pool. There must be at least one adult for every child under 4 years old. One adult can accompany up to 2 children aged between 4 and 8 years old. You must be a full member of RPCF to book a place.

Wacky SuperStars!@The Storyteller
The Storyteller Wacky Warehouse deliver an exclusive play session for children and young with SEND. These sessions have a very relaxed atmosphere with the music turned down low. No age or height restrictions will be in place for this private session and parent/carers can go into the play area to support their children or young people. The Storyteller provides a wide range of food and drinks and will be available throughout the evening. The cost is £5.50 per person. Siblings and friends are welcome. You must be a full member of RPCF to book a place.
