Boxing and fitness group for young people aged 11 to 17 years. It has been tailored to support those struggling with their mental health, emotional regulation, anxiety or those who are sensory sensitive. Unity Boxing Centre is an inclusive provider with accessible toilets, ramps, and a quiet area. This is a culturally inclusive setting. Staff also speak Urdu and Punjabi. Cost: this session is free. Football specific session for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities with the opportunity to represent RUCT and play in the South Yorkshire Ability Counts League.

The Rainbow Kite Project Allotment Club is a relaxed, neuroaffirming outdoor group with a mix of gardening, animal care, forest school, free play and project-based learning. Clifton Learning Partnership offer Youth Clubs that include games, arts and crafts, music, and free juice and snack. There are youth clubs for young people aged 7 to 11 years, and 11 to 15 years.

Define Fine is a not-for-profit organisation specialising in Parent Carer Peer Support for parents of children who are unable to attend school due to their needs not being met. We are an online service and Facebook group and as such we are always available to respond to parents. We also run drop ins and presentations. These are free but must be booked onto.

Digging Deeper is our youth group that brings together young members aged 8-25 living with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus for fun and friendship. Then look no further, Weetabix Wildcats is the place to be, everyone is super awesome; from the friends you’ll meet to The FA qualified coaches and volunteers who deliver the sessions. The sessions is non-competitive football for girls who want to give it a go for the very first time or want to play with other girls their own age and who may have a similar disability. Most importantly, Weetabix Wildcats is all about having loads of fun and meeting new amazing friends.

FEAR Swim days are designed for adults and children (plus family and friends), whose lives involve enteral or parenteral nutrition, intestinal failure or long term IV treatments (such as chemotherapy and dialysis) Whether you swim with a Drysuit, CathDry, Stoma Bag or any other form of swim dressing, ‘FEAR Swim Days’ are a fantastic opportunity for you to swim in a fun environment with your friends and family. They’re also a fab opportunity to meet others, living with similar conditions!! Our events at Rotherham are also open to children who attend SEN school and have a variety of needs.

Improve your football skills by joining one of our friendly teams. The Norfolk Lodge Lionesses (women’s team) train every two weeks on Mondays, and The Norfolk Lodge Lions (men’s team) train on the third Wednesday of each month. Both teams are coached by a disability football specialist and the venues are fully accessible with toilets and changing rooms. All abilities welcome. Booking is required The cost is £4 per session.

As part of the Foundation’s commitment to providing opportunities for all, we’re able to hold inclusive football sessions for children at the English Institution of Sport. Thanks to fantastic partnerships with Cerebral Palsy Sport, Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA, Sheffield City Council, Everyone Active, The Children’s Hospital Charity and Yorkshire Sport Foundation with funding from the Premier League Charitable Fund, our weekly Cerebral Palsy & Frame Football session gives more young people the access to enjoy football, create friendships and develop footballing skills.

Tuesday Gateway club is for people aged 18 – 30. Gateway clubs are welcoming and fun. They are a space for adults with learning disabilities or autism to come along, meet up with friends and make new ones. Our coffee bar and disco are relaxed spaces to socialise in, have a drink and a dance, and maybe even take part in the bingo! There is a wide range of activities to choose from including baking, art activities, film screenings, quizzes and games, parties, theme nights and lots more!

Gateway youth club is suitable for children with a mild learning disability and/or autism and their siblings. The wide range of activities on offer are planned collaboratively with members, including sports, games, art and crafts, films, quizzes and cooking. There are regular themed activities too, such as Halloween and Christmas parties, Easter Egg hunts and sports-themed days. Children may also choose to just relax and enjoy spending time with other young people. Gateway youth club is a great place to meet new friends and develop social skills. The group will help children to build confidence and support good mental health. Gateway youth club is led by an experienced staff team alongside dedicated volunteers. Children are encouraged to freely explore the building and independently choose from the activities on offer. Gateway youth club is suitable for children with a mild learning disability and/or autism. If your child requires 1-2-1 support or constant supervision, we are unable to offer them a space. This is to ensure the safety of all children, staff and volunteers.

Geeks Room provides a safe and engaging environment where young people and adults can learn digital skills, build confidence, and connect with others. Sessions in coding, gaming, digital media, video editing, 3D design, robotics, creative workshops, and social skills development. The team are experienced in supporting learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, and other additional needs. We welcome individuals, families, schools, and local services. Guiding Voices is a process for making sure that the voices of SEND young people in Rotherham have an impact on the decisions that are made in their communities. A group of young people meets weekly in a calm atmosphere to share their voices. We have worked on events like the Futures Fair and creative workshops as well as other long-term projects. Young people can attend virtually or in person.

Inclusive athletics sessions for people with any disability.

Inclusive cycling sessions for anyone with a disability or long-term health condition who wants to give cycling a go. We run public sessions Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & the first Saturday of the month. These cost £4 per person (carers ride free!) Our sessions are run by a qualified and experienced session leader and at least one volunteer who is able to provide help, advice, and assistance throughout the day. InspirePlay delivers stimulating, creative and sensory-based sessions for children and young people from Reception to Year 11 with additional needs and disabilities. Each holiday club is packed with opportunities to create, move, build and explore through sensory play, arts and crafts, creative gaming, sports, LEGO challenges, baking and access to a sensory / regulation room. Our themed sessions bring even more excitement, with music, stop-motion animation, interactive games, creative workshops and team activities led by experienced play leaders. Sessions are delivered by skilled SEN Play Coordinators with experience supporting children and young people with complex and high-level needs. Sessions are designed to be engaging, flexible and enjoyable, giving each child the chance to take part, try something new and have fun in a supportive environment. Our aim is simple: to provide creative, structured activities where children can take part in ways that work for them...empowered by inclusion!

We support adults with learning difficulties and/or autism with real life work experience, training and education. Our employment offer “Dexx Family Activity Centre” has been operating since 2018. We provide training and employment experience but also incorporate home based life skills into everyone’s personal development, promoting a work-life balance. We also have a small supported living opportunity in Wath upon Dearne, where we provide 24/7/365 support to those ready to move on to the next stage of their lives, learning to live independently and being a valuable part of our local community. We work with each person to develop a bespoke person centred plan focused on supporting each individual attain their life goals. This is an ongoing offer and referrals for places and funding for both the Day opportunity and supported living would come via the individuals social worker/care team. Basketball session aimed at people with a learning disability. This is a Special Olympics basketball club, so they do require athletes to have a diagnosed intellectual or learning disability. Due to the individual needs of the athletes, they hold 'New Player Nights' to help manage any individual needs whilst settling new players into the club. Cost is £10 per month.

Our ‘Mencap Go!’ adult social groups are open to people aged 18+ with a learning disability or autism. These friendly groups are held in locations across Sheffield. Members can try a range of activities, make friends and enjoy exploring what Sheffield has to offer. Groups on offer include a walking group, bowling group and snooker group. All abilities welcome. The group is a relaxed and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ people aged 18 and over in Rotherham to connect, socialise and feel part of a supportive community. We run a variety of activities including arts and crafts, games, creative sessions, and informal themed discussions. There’s always space for a general chat as well, whether that’s meeting new people or catching up with familiar faces. Drinks and snacks are provided at every session, and there’s no pressure to participate in anything specific, people can join in as much or as little as they feel comfortable with. Join RPCF at Ninja Warrior UK Sheffield every 1st Tuesday of the month for a Private session for RPCF members, Where you and your family can Test Your Ninja skills while balancing, climbing and swing across obstacles or even bouncing across inflatables. Cost is £8.50 per person taking part. 1 free Carer for every Child/Young person with SEND . We consider a carer to be someone aged 16 + who can assist the child or young person with SEND. The carer is expected to understand the needs of the child or young person and be able to assist and support them for the duration of the activity.

Park Up and Play is a welcoming group for parents, carers, and little ones (0-4) affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. It’s a chance for families to connect, share experiences, and build friendships in a relaxed and supportive environment. Parents and carers can enjoy a hot drink and a chat while children play and explore. The whole family is welcome – including siblings and grandparents. Whether you’ve been attending for years or are thinking of joining us for the first time, we’d love to see you there. We meet weekly during term time at venues chosen by our members, giving families the opportunity to discover new places and enjoy fun activities together. This session is exclusively for Children with Special Educational needs and their families. We ask that your child is either diagnosed with a SEND or is on the pathway to diagnosis. Join RPCF every 4th Tuesday for a Relaxed Screening at Vue Cinema at Meadowhall. The lights are kept on throughout the movie, the sound volume is turned down and there are no adverts. Our SEND After School Club is a fun packed space for children aged 7 to 12 to unwind, connect, explore and have fun after the school day. Held at New York Stadium in the Youth Hub in partnership with Rotherham United Community Trust, each session is designed with care at its heart. Children can enjoy free play, creative activities, and gentle life skills workshops covering topics like road safety, fire safety, and hygiene — all delivered in a nurturing environment that meets them exactly where they are emotionally, socially, and developmentally. The cost is £4.50 per person for use of the warm and welcoming hydrotherapy pool. All children must be accompanied in the pool. There must be at least one adult for every child under 4 years old. Our SEND Youth Club is a welcoming, inclusive space for secondary school-aged young people (12–17) to connect, build confidence, and explore their identity. Held at New York Stadium in partnership with Rotherham United Community Trust, each session is designed with care, creativity, and inclusion at its heart. Teens can enjoy social time, games, and workshops on topics like self-esteem, online safety, and creative expression. Peer-led activities and mentoring opportunities help foster a sense of belonging and personal growth. We meet teens where they are — offering space to grow, express, and belong. Dedicated to providing local trips for people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus, including fishing, parks, museums, theatre and disability sports. Our activities are aimed to be as accessible as possible and we can assist with transport if needed.

Fencing with Foil, Epee, Saber and also plastic and foam swords. Para (wheelchair) fencing also available. British Fencing registered coaches for all levels, they fence during school term time. They can adapt fencing to most disabilities please contact Nigel for further information. Booking is required. The cost is £30 per calendar month (use of all kit included). The coach is available to do taster sessions with existing groups.

Para ice hockey at a competitive level is for those with lower-body disabilities and impairments. It is a fast paced, highly skilled, physical team sport, perfect for people with upper-body control who like a physical sport. If you've tried the sport and want to compete, we can help you take it to the next level. The Sheffield Steelkings have weekly training sessions for people 16+ as well as new junior training sessions for people 8+ which take place every couple of weeks.

Para ice hockey at a competitive level is for those with lower-body disabilities and impairments. It is a fast paced, highly skilled, physical team sport, perfect for people with upper-body control who like a physical sport. On Mondays IceSheffield hosts a session called 'Inclusive Skate' where people can try the sport for themselves in a relaxed environment. (Equipment is limited so contact the club to confirm)

We do a range of activities and enable children and young people to make new friends, meet friends and socialise in a ‘safe’ environment. We provide a tuck shop and food and on occasions have social activities planned.

The A.L.D Club (Adult Learning Difficulties) Club provides support in the community for adults with learning difficulties. They help individuals to set their own programme of activities. They provide a safe, friendly environment for those with learning difficulties to take part in activities that they enjoy.

The Base Community Hub offers day care services for young adults aged 14 plus with autism and learning disabilities through sports, leisure, creativity and learning. Examples of the activities are: arts and crafts, gaming, computers, music room, sensory room, sensory garden, sensory pod, beauty room, general activities, day trips, life skills, drama sessions.

We offer inclusive football sessions for children aged 5 to 14. This is a pan-disability session. The only restrictions relate to the surface so we are unable to accommodate frame and wheelchair users. The sessions are run by FA qualified coaches who also have experience of working with young people with additional needs. The sessions are focussed on having fun through football, we will work with you to understand what works for your child. There is no charge for the first few weeks to enable the young people and parents/carers to get used to the sessions and know they like it. Charges are based on whether you train only or train and play in the league. Train only: £10 a month. Train and Team Player: £15 a month, sessions run for 48 weeks of the year.

Under the Stars is an arts and events charity for people with learning disabilities or autism. They deliver music and drama workshops four days a week. The workshops are run by professional musicians, actors and performing artists. They work with groups to create original music, theatre and film about issues that matter to them and give them opportunities to perform and share their talents. They provide 1:6 staffing support. For some people’s additional needs, they will ask for additional support to be in place. This will be discussed together during any initial discussions about coming to the workshops. £75.64 per day (paid for by direct payment, individual budget or self-funded)

Calm, small-group climbing, bouldering, and movement sessions for children and young people with additional needs. Delivered in 10-week blocks to offer routine and encourage progressive confidence building. Options for 1:1 sessions or groups of up to 4 people. £47.50 per session

The Storyteller Wacky Warehouse deliver an exclusive play session for children and young with SEND. These sessions have a very relaxed atmosphere with the music turned down low. No age or height restrictions will be in place for this private session and parent/carers can go into the play area to support their children or young people. The Storyteller provides a wide range of food and drinks and will be available throughout the evening. The cost is £5.50 per person. Siblings and friends are welcome. You must be a full member of RPCF to book a place.

Open to all neurodiverse adults (16+) who have a Rotherham GP and parents or unpaid carers of an autistic person/ person with ADHD of any age (the person you are parent/ carer of must have a diagnosis, or be on the pathway for assessment of autism/ADHD). We meet between the museum car park and museum building between 1pm and 1:15pm for a walk that will last no longer than an hour and we will be taking a leisurely pace. It is approximately a 1 mile walk on tarmac.
