A new SMS alert service has been launched by the home to school transport service.
The SMS messaging service will be available to families of children and young people who receive any form of home to school travel support, including:
- Zoom Zero Travel Passes
- Parental Payments
- Personal Transport Budgets (where applicable)
- Travel on existing transport routes provided by both internal and external transport operators
- Independent Travel Training
The SMS service will be used to provide timely updates and important travel-related information, helping to improve communication with families and make they receive information as quickly as possible.
For families already receiving travel support, no further action is required unless contact details have changed. For new applications, contact information will continue to be collected as part of the application and assessment process.
