You can now apply for Home to School or College Travel Assistance for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Friday 29 May 2026 is the deadline for applications.
If you miss this deadline, you may not get travel arrangements in place for the start of the 2026/27 academic year.
Who needs to apply
You must make a new application if there are any changes to the current arrangements for your child. For example, you need to make a new application if your child
- is changing school or college
- has moved home
- is not currently using SEN transport and you think they are eligible for it
You must also make an application if your child’s current arrangements are due for review. For example, you will need to make an application if your child
- needs to renew a Zoom Zero Travel Pass
- is in Year 11 and moving into post‑16 education
- is in Year 12 or above
If your application is successful, you may be offered one of the following:
- Zoom Zero Travel Pass
- Independent Travel Training
- Parental reimbursement
- A seat on a shared transport route

You can make an application for assisted home to school transport online. via the SEND Local Offer:

Applications must include the following:
- completed form
- confirmed school or college placement, including attendance expectations
- any additional relevant supporting information
- up‑to‑date contact details
